What is jimmy fratianno?

Jimmy Fratianno, also known as "The Weasel," was a Mafia mobster born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1913. He was involved in organized crime for several decades and was a member of the Cleveland crime family before becoming an informant for the federal government.

Fratianno first became involved in criminal activities in the 1930s, and later moved to Los Angeles where he became associated with the Chicago Outfit. He was involved in various illegal activities such as extortion, loan-sharking, and murder.

In the 1970s, Fratianno was arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit murder, but he decided to become a government witness and testify against several high-ranking mob members. His testimony led to the conviction of several Mafia bosses, including Jimmy "The Weasel" DiNatale.

Fratianno's cooperation with the government earned him protection under the Witness Protection Program, and he lived out the rest of his life under a false identity. He passed away in 1993. His life story was later chronicled in the book "The Last Mafioso" by Ovid Demaris.
